Hunkemöller unveils UK website, won’t rule out physical store return

Lingerie brand Hunkemöller has officially re-entered UK retail with the launch of a dedicated e-commerce site.

The Dutch company previously serviced UK customers via its hunkemöller.com global website and has been available for sale on Zalando. But it has now added hunkemöller.co.uk as part of its international expansion strategy.

The company earlier withdrew from the UK market following a debut in 2011 via a single concession in the House of Fraser flagship on Oxford Street, London. The original deal had seen it planning to open more HoF concessions but it later quit the physical story arena in Britain altogether.

The company has not ruled out new physical stores or concessions to accompany its UK website debut but it said it has no plans for this at present.

The brand marked the website launch with a fashion show on London’s Millennium Bridge.
