On the occasion of the collaboration, Hugo Boss said it will design a number of pieces inspired by the exhibition for its Boss Collection, its luxury men’s line.

'Michael Jackson: On the Wall', curated by National Portrait Gallery director Nicholas Cullinan, will bring together the artworks of over 40 artists who have been drawn to Michael Jackson as a subject.

The exhibition will ask why contemporary artists continue to look at the iconic musician for inspiration, and explore the continued interest in him as a major cultural figure.

The selection of works includes pieces by contemporary artists including Rita Ackerman, Dara Birnbaum, Candice Breitz, Mark Flood, Isa Genzken, Gary Hume, David LaChapelle, Paul McCarthy, Catherine Opie and Andy Warhol, among many others.

To celebrate the exhibition, Hugo Boss and the National Portrait Gallery will host a private view on June 26.

'Michael Jackson: On the Wall' opens at the National Portrait Gallery in London on 28 June and runs until 21 October.
