Jun 1, 2017
French luxury brand Hermès announced on Wednesday the launch of a limited edition scarf to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary.
Baptized “Into the Canadian Wild”, the commemorative silk twill scarf measure 90x90 cm and was designed with artist Alice Shirley. The scarf’s design reflects Canada's diverse seasons, wildlife and natural habitats featuring traditional Canadian animal and scenic imagery.
"We are deeply honoured to celebrate this Canadian milestone with an original Hermès scarf motif," said Jennifer Carter, President & CEO, Hermès Canada, in a news statement. "The Canadian landscape illuminates with natural richness and diversity, and we're pleased to link this to Hermès' tradition of silk creation."
To further mark the occasion, Hermès stores across Canada will also feature 'Into the Canadian Wild' storefront windows.
As Canada celebrates its sesquicentennial, a number of Canadian and international brands have rolled out exclusive merchandise to mark the occasion.
The 'Into the Canadian Wild' scarf retails for $485 and will launch exclusively at Hermès stores across Canada and on hermes.com, on June 15, 2017.
