Hanesbrands appoints new CFO Barry A. Hytinen

HanesBrands, worldwide marketer of copious underwear, intimate apparel and athletic wear labels including Champion, Wonderbra and Maidenform, has announced the appointment of Barry A. Hytinen as the new chief financial officer. The 42-year-old will be leaving his current CFO role at global bed manufacturer Tempur Sealy International to start his position with Hanes on October 17, 2017.

Hytinen boasts almost 20 years of extensive finance experience that covers many areas.
“Barry has significant experience in domestic and international acquisitions, global tax and supply chain structure, margin enhancement, and cash generation,” said Hanes Chief Executive Officer Gerald W. Evans Jr. in a company release. “Barry is a talented and accomplished finance officer and corporate strategist who brings a honed skill set that matches the needs of our expanding global enterprise.”
Hytinen will be taking over for current CFO Richard D. Moss who is retiring from the company after 12 years.
HanesBrands posted net sales of $1.65 billion, up 12 percent for the second quarter of 2017. The results included an improvement in organic sales trends of which Hanes anticipates will be positive in quarters three and four as well.
