Guess opens biggest store outside London at Liverpool One

The rise of the UK’s regional destination shopping centres is continuing as major name retailers open flagships in the country’s biggest malls. The latest is Guess, which opened its biggest store outside of London at Liverpool One at the weekend.

Taking advantage of the shopper surge expected for the public holiday weekend, the US firm opened a 5,000 sq ft store that trades across two floors on the mall’s Paradise Street.
 
It was created by Guess’s internal design team with a clean white interior with high-tech lighting and contrasting materials in line with the  firm’s recently updated branding and layout plans.

The brands total looks are laid out by theme while its accessories collections are displayed in the centre of the store to maximise visibility and accessibility.
 
Guess CEO Victor Herrero said the store has seen “strong sales already.”

Located next to Nike and opposite Urban Outfitters, the new Guess location adds to Liverpool One Paradise Street’s collection of young urban brands that also includes Footasylum, 7Liverpool and JD Sports, which is currently doubling the size of its existing store.

Paradise Street has proved to be a major draw in recent months, particularly for international brands. The latest stores to open there include Jack Wolfskin, Smiggle and Urban Decay.
