Graduate Fashion Week unveils new global ambassadors

Published
Apr 24, 2018

British fashion designers Pam Hogg and Christopher Raeburn and artist Daniel Lismore have joined Graduate Fashion Week as ambassadors ahead of the upcoming showcase on 3-6 June.

The charity, which recently announced Diane von Furstenberg and Nadja Swarovski as new international lifetime patrons, continues to strengthen its credentials as a leading platform for graduate design.

Christopher Raeburn is well known for his re-appropriation of military fabrics, delivering menswear, womenswear and accessories with distinctive aesthetic, meticulous detail and considered functionality.

“I think increasingly a lot of big brands look to Graduate Fashion Week for true, raw, creativity. Ultimately, it’s a springboard for the next generation and I have to say it's impressive how 'complete' many graduates are when they leave university,” commented the designer.

He will be joined by Daniel Lismore, a London-based creative, designer and stylist once dubbed England’s ‘most eccentric dresser’, and Pam Hogg, a Scottish born designer who has been recognised for her clubwear and controversial designs.

The new ambassadors will offer their industry expertise to the next generation of designers during the next edition of Graduate Fashion Week at the Truman Brewery in London, and attend the prestigious Gala Award Show.

“Having been in the business a long time and managed to survive regardless of my unorthodox approach, I feel I've a wealth of knowledge to offer from a different perspective,” said Pam Hogg, who has worked with Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Kylie Minogue.

Graduate Fashion Week has also thirteen other ambassadors supporting the event, including Julien Macdonald, Caryn Franklin, Holly Fulton, Gareth Pugh, Mandi Lennard and Henry Holland.
