Gosha Rubchinskiy's fashion show will take place for the third time in Russia. The Russian label, distributed and produced by Comme des Garçons, has chosen Yekaterinburg to present its autumn-winter 2018-2019 collection. A spokesperson for the brand confirmed to FashionNetwork.com that the runway presentation will be held on January 14, 2018. The show may take place at the Yeltsin Presidential Center, sources told FashionNetwork.com.

Yekaterinburg, where Tsar Nicolas II was executed in 1918, is the fourth largest city in Russia, after Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Novosibirsk. Apart from its famous church of All-Saints, the city will attract a number of tourists this summer as it will host the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which counts Adidas amongst its sponsors. The occasion will also mark Gosha Rubchinskiy and Adidas' third collaborative season, which is expected to have a special flavour.

Last January, the Soviet-inspired streetwear label presented its first collection in Russia in Kaliningrad, followed by a second presentation in St. Petersburg in June. Controlled by Comme des Garçons International, which manages the production, marketing and media relations of the brand, Gosha Rubchinskiy has been focused on various collaborations. The brand recently worked with Burberry for its Spring/Summer 2018 collection, which resulted in pieces that captured the attention of the industry.

Still, the label has not provided any further comment on future collaborations. The brand is part of the assets of the Japanese group, which has indeed embraced the colours of the Russian designer.
