Godfrey Deeny named Fashion Network's International Editor-in-Chief

FashionNetwork.com, the leading source of information for fashion professionals, has named Godfrey Deeny International Editor-in-Chief. He will join the company on March 1.

Deeny moves to Fashion Network from his most recent role as Fashion Editor at Large of Le Figaro, and has previously served as the Dow Jones Bureau Chief in Milan, Bureau Chief of Women’s Wear Daily in Paris and European Editor of W Magazine. He has also been Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Hommes and Vogue Hommes International as well as Editor-in-Chief of Fashion Wire Daily (FWD) and men’s fashion critic of The Financial Times.

An active member of the fashion community, the Irish-born editor, who has been resident in Paris for the past 25 years,  is a jury member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) award, the LVMH Prize and Who’s On Next, Vogue Italia’s talent award. He is also a lecturer and has spoken at the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM), the Festival de Hyères, Moscow State University and the Paris Fashion Institute.

His responsibilities will include directing Fashion Network’s international editorial team of over 40 journalists, as well as ensuring coverage of shows during the major fashion seasons and overseeing content. He will work alongside Editor-in-Chief France, Jean-Paul Leroy.
