Gilt celebrates 10 year anniversary with site redesign

Gilt.com is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a new website redesign that launched on Tuesday.

The online shopping retailer that was acquired by Hudson’s Bay Company in early 2016 was one of the first to offer daily flash sales of fashion, accessories, home furnishings, and travel deals online. Since it was acquired by HBC, Gilt opened its first physical store at Saks Off 5th in Manhattan.
 
The website redesign is proof that Gilt still holds true to its digital roots. On the new Gilt.com, over 9 million Gilt members can now shop products that are tailored to their preferences, in addition to receiving customized emails. Also, Gilt’s editorial section features longer-lasting content, showcases curated shops, category boutiques and designer offerings, as well as stories tailored to shopping habits.

In addition, Gilt City offers deals alongside product categories. For instance, a local yoga studio can now be found under a women’s activewear sale.
 
"The New Gilt is a totally redesigned shopping experience that lets customers shop their way, whether they're looking to be inspired or know exactly what they're searching for," said Jonathan Greller, President of Gilt and Saks Off 5th.
