Gigi Hadid and Vogue Eyewear create capsule collection of sunglasses

The supermodel became an ambassador for Vogue Eyewear in May, and now she announced on Instagram that she’s created a capsule collection for the brand. Hadid’s collection features three styles, currently available for pre-order.

Gigi Hadid uploaded a photo of herself modeling a pair of aviator sunglasses to her Instagram account on Thursday, where she announced that she’s created her first collection for Vogue Eyewear. The image was shot by photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
 
The collection features three styles available in six different colors. Along with the aviator model shown on Hadid, the collection also includes a pair of cat eye frames and a classic oval shape. In addition to the sunglasses, the line includes one pair of simple, classic glasses. Vogue described the collection as a take on “retro-chic shapes, luminous colors and essential details – all in the eclectic vibe of the 90’s.”

Hadid has also branched out into design in a collection she collaborated on with Tommy Hilfiger. The brand recently announced it would be continuing its partnership with Hadid, who will continue to model and design for the brand.
 
Gigi is not the only Hadid sister to craft an eyewear collection. Alana Hadid, half-sister to Gigi and Bella, launched a collection of sunglasses in February. Available on Shopbop and Revolve, the collection donated 5 percent of the sales of each pair to The Vision of Children Foundation.
 
Gigi’s collection with Vogue Eyewear is currently available for pre-order on Sunglasses Hut. The frames retail for $139.95 each.
