Genesco promotes Gallione to President of Journeys retail division

Genesco announced on Tuesday the appointment of Mario Gallione as President of Journeys’ retail division. He will report to James C. Estepa, who will continue to serve as CEO of The Journeys Group until his eventual retirement

 
Gallione has worked at Genesco for 38 years and has been associated with Journeys since 1994. He most recently served as Chief Merchandising Officer of The Journeys Group.
 
In his new role, Gallione assumes responsibility for all aspects of the Journeys and Journeys Kidz retail operations, including stores in the US and Canada and Journeys websites in North America.

The appointment of Gallione is intended to be the first step in the succession of Estepa, who is planning his retirement. As CEO, Estepa will oversee Journeys, Schuh, and Little Burgundy retail concepts, and he will continue to serve as SVP of Genesco.
