As a reminder, the musician/entrepreneur is an investor in the company Bionic Yarn, which produces textiles from plastic waste, the aim being to collect the waste and then to use it in producing rolls of fabric in order to prevent plastic from accumulating on the bottom of the oceans. The collaboration with G-Star shares the same point of departure.
The brand points out that the production of the first collection has used 10 tons of recycled ocean plastic.

The collection consists of pieces for both men and women, easily identifiable by an octopus (the collection’s mascot) motif. The prices for items from the line range from 39.90 euros for t-shirts up to 269,90 euros for more signifcant items.
"The Raw for the Oceans collection brings together a wide range of items, including jeans, bomber jackets, trench coats, t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats, all made from Bionic Yarn,” said the brand in a statement. “Available in intense shades of Mazarine blue and black, the fabrics are soft to the touch and yet sturdy. One of the flagship pieces from the men’s line is the A-Crotch trench, a model with modern cut made from a raw, printed, Bionic Yarn denim. For women, the Fallden bomber is one of the highlights of this fall/winter, transforming printed denim into a cornerstone of any wardrobe."
