Eurovet acquires American trade show CURVExpo

It was the logical next step, really - Eurovet’s announcement on Wednesday that it had acquired a 100% stake in the American CURVExpo trade shows, up from the 30% that it has held since 2008, comes as no surprise, but instead confirms Eurovet’s intention to expand worldwide.

Just a few days ago, Marie-Laure Bellon-Homps, president of Eurovet’s board of directors, announced in China the trade show organiser’s intention of further developing Shanghai Mode Lingerie, alongside Interfilière Shanghai, by adding to its services and turning it into a real lingerie trade show instead of simply a meeting place.

CURVExpo was launched in Las Vegas in 2007 by its co-founders Jean-Luc and Laurence Teinturier. Over time they have built it up for their target market of high-end lingerie, men’s underwear and swimwear. “CURVExpo has grown by over 20% with its four annual trade shows (in Las Vegas and New York) in only five years”, the statement added.

Jean-Luc and Laurence Teinturier will continue to manage CURVExpo as co-presidents. They will be joined by a vice-president appointed by Eurovet to “maximise the partnership’s synergies”.
