Etro: Francesco Freschi named new General Manager
Francesco Freschi is the new general manager of Etro, the brand announced last week in a press release. The consultant, who will take up his role this month, has been working with the Italian fashion house for 20 years.
Francesco Freschi succeed Francesco Giannaccari, who left his position vacant several weeks ago. And now Etro has once again hired from the outside to fill the role, since Francesco Giannaccari also joined the house this way, in September 2014.
"This appointment confirms the owning family's determination to reinforce the group's managerial structure, by propping up the Etro family with external managers, in aim of pursuing the growth objectives it has set for itself," the company said in its press release.
Present in 76 countries, the brand, which was founded by Gimmo Etro in 1968, produces ready-to-wear collections for men and women in Italy, as well accessories, a house line and fragrances. It currently has 200 stores and reports around 300 million euros in revenue.
