Elie Tahari to launch fragrance through global license with TPR Holdings

NYC-based fashion house Elie Tahari has signed a global fragrance license with TPR Holdings LLC, with plans to release its debut perfume in 2019.
 

In a release, Joey Gabbay, Bluestar Alliance LLC President, responsible for the licensing of Elie Tahari, stated, “We are very impressed with TPR’s capabilities”, adding, “We are working to expand the brand’s global presence and the TPR team has proven expertise and success in the fragrance category.”
 
“By adding a prestigious fragrance license like Elie Tahari to our beauty portfolio, we are able to further accelerate our penetration into the best worldwide distribution,” stated TPR President Brian Robinson, “we believe this launch will be one of the premier fragrance launches in 2019.”

Elie Tahari founded his eponymous fashion house in 1973. The brand now designs, manufactures, distributes, and retails ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, eyewear and home decor through a global network of over 800 points of distribution in more than 40 countries.
 
The Israeli fashion designer explained, “Scent has always been very important to me and I have always wanted to create a fragrance for the brand. I’m thrilled to be partnering with TPR to make this dream become a reality.”
 
TPR Holdings is an investor and operator in the consumer products industry, based in New York City. The company’s main investments are focused in the health, beauty and wellness categories, and the firm also owns and operates the consumer brands Mally Beauty, Cargo Cosmetics, Oscar Blandi Hair Care, YBF Beauty and Freeze 24/7.

The Elie Tahari license is the second deal with a US fashion house to be announced by TPR this year, as it previously revealed that it had obtained a global beauty license with Badgley Mischka in January. The company is developing a fragrance and a line of color cosmetics for the label, for release in Spring and Summer 2018, respectively.
 
The introductory Elie Tahari fragrance is slated to launch in Spring 2019.
