At the end of January 2015, Gregg Ribatt will take up his post as the new CEO of the American footwear company Crocs. Having been joined Croc’s board of directors in January of this year, Ribatt previously served as interim CEO of the American apparel company Spanx Inc.

He has also served as president and CEO of Performance & Lifestyle Group (brands Top-Sider, Saucony, Stride Rite and Keds) when it was owned by Collective Brands.

Ribatt will mainly be based near Boston in the company’s "Global Commercial Center", a new location home to key departments like merchandising, marketing and commercial services. One of the objectives of this "secondary headquarters" is to attract more specialized profiles in a more attractive city.

Following the departure of John McClarvel in April, Andrew Rees, president of Crocs, has served as the company’s interim CEO.

For the third quarter of its 2014 fiscal year ending on September 30, Crocs, which began a repositioning and restructuring program a few months ago, recorded sales up 4.8% at 302 million dollars (193 million pounds).
