A leading New York design house of modern luxury accessories and lifestyle collections, Coach today officially announced the opening of its first flagship store in Paris. It will be located at 372-374 Rue Saint-Honoré, a former Hugo Boss store, in one of the city’s most prestigious shopping districts, and is expected to open this fall.

The 6,500 square foot retail space designed by Creative Director Stuart Vevers in partnership with William Sofield, Designer and President of Studio Sofield, will feature an interior that has a distinctive New York City attitude with the latest modern luxury evolution of Coach’s design and positioning. It will include a unique VIP shopping salon and monogram shop, reports the press release.

The location is anything but insignificant. Coach has been looking to reposition itself in the luxury sector since last year all while losing ground, especially in the United States.

Nigel Darwin, President of Coach Europe, said, "The opening of our first flagship store in Paris is a pivotal moment for our development across Europe and demonstrative of our increased relevance in the fashion arena. To support this launch we will be developing a comprehensive advertising campaign which will be part of a large-scale global launch with integrated print and outdoor advertising and exclusive products."

Timed to coincide with the brand’s 75th Anniversary, the two level flagship will open in the fall and feature a complete collection of both men’s and women’s Coach product including ready-to-wear, shoes, sunwear, jewelry, watches and fragrance.
