Clae creates European subsidiary based in Anglet

The California sneaker brand Clae, has decided to reinforce its organization in Europe, where it already has about 500 retailers. With this is mind, it has created a subsidiary for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and has named Jerome Thuillier its head.

The exec is returning to skate and street after one year as Veja’s sales director. After working as the manager of a skateshop, he worked for 8 years at Hoff, a brand distributor that works with a great deal of actions sports companies such as C1rca, Addict, Vox, Santa Cruz... In 2011, he became head of category manager footwear for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at DC Shoes. 

Clae already works in Europe with a network of agents and distributors, including Dunes for France. "My role is to establish connections and to make sure the collection is strong enough for Europe, and for all of our markets. We need to increase the brand’s visibility, "said Thuillier. He also stressed that the choice of Anglet for the subsidiary’s head office reflects Clae’s origins in California, where it was founded in 2001. 

The brand will also participate this weekend in its first Capsule Paris, just after Seek in Berlin.
