Christine Phung to serve as Creative Director at Leonard Paris

Published
Mar 31, 2016

Since Yiqing Yin left his role as Leonard Creative Director at at the end of 2015, the role remained empty until now. Following Yin’s departure, Leonard took the time to work alone in his Parisian studio. In May 2015, Leonard began priming stylist Christine Phung to take over as the new Creative Director of the House.

Christine Phung - Vincent Lappartient

Christine Phung has received several accolades, including winning the Aubusson loves fashion contest last year and recipient of the Andam First Class Collection award in 2013.

A graduate of the Duperré School and the IFM, she has worked for Christophe Lemaire, Chloé, Vanessa Bruno and Dior child, as well as a sportswear line for Lacoste, and Rossignol brand Veja ethical sneakers.

Phung launched her own brand in 2011, which described as "creator-premium brand" in an interview with FashionMag on December 21, 2015. In the same interview, she discussed the difficulty of financing her brand: "I recently accepted a role as Creative Director with a brand which I cannot yet reveal the name. I thought it was important to continue to finance my company."

Phung is now coming into her own at the independent House where founder Daniel Tribouillard is still very present. She will work under his direct supervision.

FOUND THIS DIFFICULT TO TRANSLATE-Une relation pas si facile qui manifestement très vite n’a plus convenu à Yiqing Yin.
