Already present online via partnerships with various online retailers, H&M’s denim brand has decided to invest in its own online space. The Cheap Monday online store is due to go live at the end of autumn, targeting predominantly the same major markets as sister brands Monki and COS. The site will be available in 18 European countries including the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Austria and, of course, Sweden.

Alongside its online launch, the brand is preparing for the opening of several standalone stores. Typically partial to wholesale (2000 boutiques and department stores worldwide carry the line), Cheap Monday envisages opening further three stores over the coming months bringing its grand total to seven.

The first will be in China, where the brand has been sold via department stores for nine years. A store in a shopping centre is planned for Beijing at the end of the year, whilst a second is scheduled for Shenyang at the start of 2014.

Following delays, the brand’s Parisian store – which was due to open this spring – has been pushed back once again and is now expected to open in the Marais in early 2014.
