The 2,500 sq ft Special Project store, created by London-based design studio Faye Toogood, provides a conceptual look at the brand’s roots in honest labour, exposing the inner mechanisms of many of the fixtures and utilizing simple but hardwearing materials, ranging from raw concrete to duck brown canvas.

A custom built coffee bar, operated in partnership with Allpress, invites customers to immerse themselves in the experience as they browse the label’s contemporary clothing and accessories.

Alongside Carhartt WIP’s core offer, the store stocks a selection of collaborative and special products available exclusively at King’s Cross.

Craig White, Project Director, Argent, highlighted Carhartt WIP’s “fresh approach to visual merchandising” and welcomed the brand to the King’s Cross area. King’s Boulevard is expected to attract 18 million people by 2019 and will be further boosted by the opening of a new retail destination, Coal Drops Yard, in autumn next year.

“This area is fast becoming one of the most exciting shopping districts in London and with the arrival of Coal Drops Yard less than one year away, King’s Cross continues to lead the way in offering national and international visitors an enhanced shopping experience, allowing influential brands to express their individual stories through innovative design and special collaborations,” said White.
