Capsule trade show returns to Maison de la Mutualité late June

Published
Jun 22, 2016

It's the same setting per January for the next Capsule show, which opens at the Maison de la Mutualité (24, rue Saint-Victor in the 5th arrondissement of Paris) from June 25 to 27.

Capsule readies for 150 men's street and luxury brands - June 25-27

While the previous edition attracted more than 200 designers, the June session has had to reduce the number of brands on show to 150, prioritising those designers exemplifying "craftsmanship, creativity and modernity".

As well as those labels already confirmed to show – Diadora, Eastpak, and Gitman Vintage, among others - France will be represented by National Standard, Cuisse de Grenouille, Basus, Le Flow Paris, Les Garçons Faciles as well as Undun, the sneaker brand helmed by Parisian designer Eugène Riconneaus.

Like last year, Capsule's "New America" exhibit will feature several emerging American brands including Second/Layer, the skate-street fusion basics brand; street luxe brand Rhude, created by Ruigi Villasenor; Californian sportswear label Stampd; the latest sneaker collection from Android Homme; as well as emerging brands Article #, The Squad and Hymne.

Just five brands will make their debut appearance this edition. America's Alex Mill and its line of style basics, the minimal streetwear label BLS Hafnia created by Danes Besnik and Burim Miftiari; American luggage brand Hunting World, contemporary British brand and artisan Kestin Hare, and Sweden's Velour by Nostalgi, the unique label that combines workwear with "feel good preppy", which started in 2004 by Per Andersson.
