The Cambridge Satchel Company is expanding its footprint in the UK with a new store in Cambridge and an outlet in Brighton.

Located in the heart of Cambridge at 2 St Marys Passage, the brand’s second boutique in the city is set across two floors. Its proximity to Cambridge University will boost the company’s preppy styles as well as its new capsule collection, launched together with the institution. The edit, featuring the University’s blue stripe and emblem on a range of colours, will be available exclusively in the satchel company's new store.

The Brighton outlet store will be situated on Bond Street - The Cambridge Satchel Company

The brand's Founder and CEO, Julie Deane OBE said: “Cambridge is our home and we felt we needed a larger space to showcase our extended range of products. Being in the city centre, and so near my university is important to me – this really is my dream space in a dream spot.”

Meanwhile, the company’s first ever outlet store will be set on Bond Street in Brighton, where customers will be able to purchase Cambridge Satchel’s handmade bags from 20% to 50% off.

The Cambridge Satchel Company was founded in 2008 by Julie Deane and her mother Freda Thomas. Its satchels, handbags, backpacks and small leather goods manufactured in the UK have found a loyal customer base, and collaborations with international designers including Comme des Garçons and Vivienne Westwood have helped the business to grow to an annual turnover of over £10m.

Its products are sold in more than 100 countries and in 4 stores in the UK.
