Mcdonald left his position as CEO of Sears Canada just over a month ago and will take up his new role at Sephora in January 2014. He will be in charge of French beauty chain Sephora’s 330 stores in the United States and Canada, as well as 400 points of sales within JC Penney stores. The company has recently expanded into Latin America, notably with its move into the Brazilian market in 2010.
