Burton Europe recruits a vice-president for sales and marketing

Burton strengthens its European management team. The US snowboard brand has recently created a new vice-presidential post. Frenchman Franck Waterlot has been appointed as Vice-President for Sales and Marketing, and tasked with organising the European structure. 

At the brand's headquarters in Innsbruck, Austria, he will support Hermann Kapferer, the Burton Europe's General Manager he'll be reporting to. Waterlot has a wide remit, comprising the establishment of a strategic vision and the coordination of marketing and merchandising activities, as well as responsibility for wholesale and retail sales.

Franck Waterlot has recently been engaged in consulting and restructuring work for the Marika & Zobha fitness brand and for Le Chameau. Previously his career developed between 2007 and 2014 at Oakley, where he was Sales Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.  Before that, Waterlot was appointed to management roles, most frequently in sales and marketing, at Eres, Calvin Klein Underwear and Sequoia.
