Bruuns Bazaar poaches Cos’ artistic director

Published
Jan 9, 2011

COS, Bruuns Bazaar
Brunns Bazaar have recruited Cos’ current artistic director Rebekka Ray. The news, previously reported on Textilwirtschaft, was later confirmed by the brand belonging to the H&M Group.

“Rebekka Bay will be leaving us some time in March. We have put a solid design team in place in order to continue with the work” - it was said at Cos’ headquarters in London. The brand does not know yet whether a new artistic director will be hired.

By working for the Danish brand, the likewise Danish designer will thus be able to live near her close friends and relatives. This will be a symbolic departure for Cos, since Rebekka Bay was at the helm of the brand’s style since its launch in 2006.

Founded in 1994 by the Bruuns brothers, Bruuns Bazaar was Denmark’s first brand to be accepted into the Paris show calendar in 1999. The line offers clothes and accessories for both men and women.
