New York City retail fixture, Bloomingdales will open an outlet store in Manhattan’s Upper West Side neighborhood, the first in a major urban area and the 14th outlet from the company.

Bloomingdale’s introduced their outlet store concept in 2010, and now with 14 locations, the Manhattan outlet on 2085 Broadway, on the corner of 72nd Street, is the 3rd to be opened in the metro New York area—one in Paramus, NJ, and another in Westbury, NY.

Tony Spring, chairman and chief executive officer of Bloomingdale’s said, “This is a premier, flagship location for Bloomingdale’s Outlet at one of the busiest intersections in Manhattan, and with a major subway located just footsteps away. This is a great opportunity to expand the reach of our brand to value-conscious customers as well as better serve the expansive needs of our core west side customers.”

The Manhattan Upper West Side outlet will be a 25,000 square feet, three level store and will house off-price women’s ready-to-wear, menswear, children’s, women’s shoes, accessories, jewelry, handbags, and intimates.
