Blancpain unveils its 'Ocean Commitment' programme

Blancpain has a special relationship with diving and the sea, ever since the creation in 1953 of its 'Fifty Fathoms' diver watch. The luxury watch manufacturer has now confirmed its pledge in favour of the oceans with the 'Blancpain Ocean Commitment'.
 

A dedicated website has been created, allowing visitors to view reports on the actions undertaken by the brand, and watch pictures of the seabed, all of this through an interactive 3D terrestrial globe.
 
The site also features various scientific projects sponsored by Blancpain, world environmental forums such as the World Ocean Summit organised by The Economist, or the National Geographic Society's Pristine Seas expeditions.

The Swiss watch manufacturer also transfers part of the sales proceeds from the 'Ocean Commitment' model to its partners and associates. Besides this, all model owners become members of the programme, and are invited to take part in conferences and meetings with Blancpains' partners.
