Black Diamond: sales boosted by apparel
For its first quarter ending on March 31, 2014, Black Diamond reports sales up 7% to 39 million euros (54.5 million dollars). A solid performance achieved in part thanks to the launch of Black Diamond’s spring apparel range as well as strong revenue growth from ski products by POC, the Swedish protective brand purchased in 2012.
Domestic sales amounted to 24.2 million euros while international came in at 14.8 million. Furthermore, the American manufacturer of mountaineering, skiing, and climbing equipment reduced its loss from 1.9 million euros to 934 thousand.
For its complete fiscal year, the Black Diamond Group expects a sales increase of between 16 and 18%.
