Björn Borg launches anniversary collection to celebrate 60th birthday

Björn Borg, the Swedish tennis legend and founder of the eponymous fashion and sportswear brand, turns 60 this year and the brand is launching an anniversary collection to celebrate.

Called "The Achromatic Collection", it's an all-white line of exclusive contemporary tennis apparel, bags and shoes in a minimalist design. The men's-only collection is made from Deltapeak™, a Japanese textile that is one of the lightest materials of its kind.

Björn Borg Head of Design, Tony Mareviç, said: “Björn Borg literally changed the game. He revolutionised the world of top tennis and not only would he be almost impossible to beat, he also had a sense of style that still stands to this day. We think that if Björn would be no.1 today, this is how he would dress. I am very honoured and happy that Björn really likes the collection”.

The Achromatic Collection was designed and made in Europe and contains a jacket, a polo, a t-shirt, a pair of shorts, pants, socks, a premium leather bag and shoes - and a headband, Borg's signature accessory. It will retail from €29.95 to €599.95, and launches on June 6.

Björn Borg recently announced a 21% net sales increase, up to SEK 158.1m (£13m) in Q1.
