Beyoncé taps Laverne Cox for latest Ivy Park campaign

The Orange Is the New Black star fronts the latest ad from Beyoncé’s activewear line, Ivy Park. The fall campaign is meant to celebrate uniqueness in beauty.

In August, Laverne Cox hinted that she would be working on a special project with the singer. Now, the actress and activist has revealed that she is the face of Ivy Park fall campaign. Cox models the sportswear pieces alongside dancer Karen McDonald and models Grace Bol and Ralph Souffrant.

Cox has become an advocate for trans rights since she got her big break appearing on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black. Her campaign with Ivy Park celebrates that inner strength, something Cox says Beyoncé exemplifies as well.

“True beauty and power are born out of strength of character and defined from the inside out. There is no one standard of beauty,” the singer said in a statement put out by the brand.

The Fall 2017 Ivy Park line is available at Nordstrom and Top Shop and includes leggings, t-shirts, bodysuits, hoodies and more, with prices ranging from $25 for a cap to $100 for premium knit leggings. The brand is co-founded by co-founded by Beyoncé and Sir Philip Green, and made its debut at Nordstrom in April 2016.
