Aspinal of London highlights British heritage in new flagship store
Luxury handbag brand Aspinal of London looked at English country homes to create its new flagship store in St James’s Market, the £400m luxury redevelopment off Regent Street.
Spread over 3,500 sq ft across two floors, the store combines luxury elements of a London townhouse with the warmth of an English country house. Every room features a fireplace, and a sweeping wooden carved staircase to emphasise the craftsmanship behind the Aspinal brand.
On the ground floor, a double-height Ladies’ Drawing room showcases leather handbags, purses and ladies accessories surrounded by feminine touches such as hand-painted mouldings and a blush pink ladies' boudoir.
Men can relax in a Tudor panelled men’s room and browse the brand’s men’s business bags, office accessories and travel collections.
The first level offers a dedicated concierge service in a space that can be closed off for private functions. Here, customers can personalise small accessories and gifts, from wallets to flasks, journals and silverware.
The store is the brand’s largest to date and joins Jigsaw, Paul and Shark and Assos at St James’s Market.
