Abercrombie & Fitch to launch on Zalando

Abercrombie & Fitch has signed a wholesale deal with leading European fashion destination Zalando. The move will help the retailer expand its reach to more than 18 million customers.

German-based Zalando carries more than 150,000 styles from over 1,500 brands, including fellow American labels GAP, Free People and American Apparel.

The agreement includes products from the brands Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister and Abercrombie Kids, which will be available from this week onwards in the 15 European markets Zalando serves through its online sites.

"As Europe's leading online platform for fashion, we are confident Zalando will enhance the value of all of our brands and this business will accompany our strong store and digital presence already established in the region," said Fran Horowitz, President and Chief Merchandising Officer of Abercrombie & Fitch Co. "Zalando is a key strategic partner as we continue to expand our brand reach and deliver a great brand experience to customers in these markets."

Abercrombie & Fitch has already a presence in Europe through standalone stores in cities like London, Milan, Paris, Madrid and Brussels as well as an e-commerce site. In total, the company operates 180 stores in international markets, including Asia and the Middle East.
