Inditex has increased its presence in the Southern Hemisphere as it launches the first ever Zara store in New Zealand.

The launch takes the number of markets in the South Hemisphere where Inditex operates to 9 and also marks the fifth market entry for the brand this year.
The new store in Auckland’s Sylvia Park shopping centre spreads over 2,552 sq mts of space. It displays Zara’s latest Spring Summer collections, including the Woman, Basic, TRF, Kids and Man ranges – all designed exclusively for the Southern Hemisphere.
The first store in New Zealand incorporates Inditex’s environmental criteria presented in its Sustainable Inditex plan. More than half of Inditex's stores worldwide are already eco-efficient, consuming 30% less energy and half the amount of water compared with a conventional store.
Inditex's store opening follows in the footsteps of H&M, which also recently launched in New Zealand with a first store at Sylvia Park. The shopping centre is the largest retail development in the city.
