And that makes a hat-trick ... A week before the World Cup begins in Brazil, Yves Rocher is opening its first store in Rio de Janeiro in Barra Shopping. It’s the brand’s third store in Brazil, the other two located in São Paolo. Last December, Yves Rocher opened its first store in the country, which is the third largest market for cosmetics and the largest for fragrances and deodorants (source: UbiFrance).
"This market should be approached with both humility and determination. This year, we first intend to open about ten stores in large cities such as São Paulo and Rio, depending on the opportunities for good locations," said Arnaud Williart, director of Africa, the Middle East and Brazil region at Yves Rocher, in an interview with Premium Beauty News on May 26. He added that for now, the brand’s expansion into Brazil is being carried out through wholly owned stores, but that once the model has been validated, the brand will operate through franchises.
It should be remembered that a month ago Yves Rocher launched the Brazilian version of its e-commerce site.
