After the recent reshuffles in Net-a-Porter's top management, it is now Yoox's turn to go ahead with a restructuring of its portfolio.

The Italian online fashion retailer, which merged in October with Richemont's former subsidiary Net-a-Porter, will by the Spring-Summer 2016 season discontinue the websites thecorner.com, dedicated to the collections of experimental designers, and shoescribe.com, the online footwear retailer launched in 2012.

The news was published together with the publication of the first results of the Yoox Net-A-Porter (YNAP) giant, relating to the third quarter 2015. The merger of these two major e-retailers, one of them Italian and the other British, revealed "a significant overlap of active customers and brands between thecorner.com and shoescribe.com, and the other multi-brand stores belonging to the group," underlined YNAP in a press release.

In the first 9 months of the year, the two websites only accounted for 2.4% of YNAP's total sales, the group also pointed out. Their respective clients, as well as the two platforms' employees, will be redirected towards the group's other websites.
