Online e-tail giant Yoox Net-A-Porter on Tuesday named a new interim CEO, with Alison Loehnis replacing Geoffroy Lefebvre at the end of this month.

Alison Loehnis - YNAP

Lefebvre will step down “to pursue a private equity-backed entrepreneurial career outside of Richemont after 11 years with the group”.

Loehnis is currently President of YNAP’s luxury in-season retailers Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter, as well as off-price operation The Outnet.

She’s been in that role since 2015 when Net-A-Porter merged with Italy’s Yoox. Before that she’d been President of Net-A-Porter since 2011.

The company praised her as a “well-recognised fashion industry leader with extensive knowledge of [our] brand partners and an expert eye for curation”. It also said she’s pioneered “the introduction of broader product categories and expansion into new markets”.

It’s a time of big change for the YNAP business as a whole as it heads towards the completion of the sale of 47.5% and 3.2% of YNAP’s share capital to Farfetch and Alabbar, respectively. Loehnis will lead the business until this completion, which is expected before the end of 2023, “at which point an external CEO will be appointed,” we’re told.

She’ll be reporting to Jérôme Lambert, CEO of Richemont.

Lambert expressed his gratitude to the outgoing CEO, praising the innovations he’s overseen, and also saying that Loehnis is “a long-time champion of our customers, [and] a passionate leader who will continue to steer the business and its talented teams as Yoox Net-A-Porter enters an exciting new chapter.”
