Walpole unveils 2019 Brands of Tomorrow

Walpole, the British association of luxury labels, has announced the 12 brands that will take part in the 12th edition of its year-long support and mentoring programme, Brands of Tomorrow.

Luxury womenswear brand Anna Mason, silk sleepwear label Desmond & Dempsey and footwear designer Jennifer Chamandi are among the companies that have been selected for the 2019 edition.

Designed to support up-and-coming luxury brands, the Brands of Tomorrow programme offers workshops and mentoring opportunities with industry experts including former Vogue editor-in-chief Alexandra Shulman, Fortnum & Mason CEO Ewan Venters, Harrods boss Michael Ward and Mr Porter managing director Toby Bateman.

“It’s so exciting to see a diverse range of British luxury entrepreneurs entering the market from sleepwear, travel accessories, bespoke lingerie to handmade knives, gin and luxury shoe and handbag repair,” commented Helen Brocklebank, CEO of Walpole.

“We have taken almost 100 businesses through Brands of Tomorrow, brands now synonymous with the very best in British luxury including Orlebar Brown, Bremont, Emilia Wickstead, Flowerbx, Astley Clarke and Charlotte Olympia.

"Through development programmes like Brands of Tomorrow, we enable Walpole and its members to play a vital role in supporting the next generation of talent and also secure the future of the sector by giving brands the help they need to reach the next stage of growth.”

In addition to receiving one-to-one coaching, the brands will join more than 250 British luxury brands as Walpole members.

The 2019 selections include Anna Mason, Conker Spirit, Desmond & Dempsey, Farer, Jennifer Chamandi, London Sock Company, Luna Mae London, Sabina Savage, Savernake Knives, Stow, The Restory and Wyse London.
