Wacoal Europe appoints general director for the EMEA zone

The reorganisation of Japanese group Wacoal and the setting up of a genuine European subsidiary is taking on its final shape this beginning of 2015. Created based on the group's London cluster, operational since the acquisition of Eveden in 2012 (Freya, Fantasie, Elomi, Huit...), the new entity called Wacoal Europe as of this January has indeed just announced the appointment of a major executive in the configuration.

It is thus a general director for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia) zone that Wacoal Europe has appointed, namely Hans Hornemann. A newly created position that illustrates the reinforced powers of Wacoal's operational base in Europe, which, in addition to greater independence on the European markets, will serve as a control tower for new developments in the EMEA zone.

Hans Hornemann will take up his position in February, leaving behind his position as general director of the Middle East and Central and Eastern Europe at another lingerie specialist: Triumph International. Before this, the Dane was also an executive in international retail at Mexx, Pandora, and Cartier, and wholesale at Ecco and Georg Jensen.

Hans Hornemann will collaborate directly with the president of Wacoal Europe (who was already president of Wacoal Eveden before), Tracy Lewis.
