Von Dutch back to the UK again

Published
Feb 12, 2016

Von Dutch will be expanding distribution, once again, to the UK starting this spring.

Von Dutch has had a turbulent official presence in the UK, having faced controversy over potentially racist design and direction (2004), and frequent counterfeiting and intellectual property infringement (2006), causing the brand to stop UK distribution in the past.

This spring, Von Dutch will venture back to the UK through a relationship with distributor Project J, who will be showing the new line from the label at Project Las Vegas next week.

“The brand is still so well known in the UK – as soon you as you mention the name, people smile. For that reason I think it will do incredibly well again and be enough to draw people in stores,” said Project J managing director Jonathan Judah.

Von Dutch’s European site currently declares “Von Dutch is still alive,” foreshadowing what is to come for the brand’s European presence.
