Vivienne Westwood coming to Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris

Published
Oct 21, 2014

Vivienne Westwood is about to take what is without doubt an important step in Paris. The British label is to open a store and showrooms at 175 Rue Saint-Honoré. Today, Vivienne Westwood is notably present in the French capital at the Galeries Lafayette Boulevard Haussmann. Its offices are in Rue du Mail.

The Rue Saint-Honoré store will cover 3,200 square feet with a small ground floor and a large basement. The showroom will have 5,400 square feet of space while a press showroom will consist of just over 1,200 square feet.

Its installation and thus opening will most likely not take place before 2016, though, depending on the duration of the work that will need to be done on the building.

This arrival in one of the French capital's most dynamic shopping streets, not far from the famous Colette concept store, is part of the development of a designer label that is still independently run.

Vivienne Westwood is currently present in some 80 countries. Almost half of the brand's turnover comes from the UK. For the rest, it is quite split up, with 9% in South Korea, 8% in Hong Kong, 7% in Japan, 6% in China, 5% in the United States, 3% in Italy… And 2% in France.

The designer label can be found in 700 multi-brand stores, 125 shop in shops department stores and around thirty single-brand stores. In Milan, for example, the store, press office and showroom are all in the same building, on Corso Venezia, as will be the case in Paris and, according to our sources, also soon to be in New York.
