Targeting consumers that "love a flea market", sustainable vintage fashion digital platform Farly launches on 11 November.

According to the resale newcomer, Farly wants to attract consumers who are focused on “monetising creativity while saving the planet… allowing users to shop and share their style [while] bringing fun, creativity, and careful curation to the experience”.

Virtual shop windows are displayed alongside moodboards “to inspire those on a quest for the best-preloved items, making this the perfect site for independent sellers, small retailers, artists, and curators”, it said.

Users can design their own shop windows by uploading images, using editing tools to sharpen, resize, crop, clip and tweak their pieces before publishing.

The launch also kick-starts the use of Farly Points — a reward mechanism where users can earn points when promoting sales from items curated in their windows, making 5% for each sale. The points allow users to monetise their windows, creating significant discounts as they build their profile on the platform, it said.

Farly founder Farleigh Hungerford said: "As the world prepares for the COP26 summit this November, the importance of climate change and looking after our planet has been more prominent than ever.

"Farly only encourages the sale of vintage, pre-loved and second hand items and we really encourage sellers to have sustainability at heart, from packaging to thinking about the origin of the product all the way to the end of the items’ life cycle.”
