Victoria's Secret to open first store in the North East

Lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret has chosen Intu Metrocentre in Gateshead for its first location in North East England.

The new shop will spread over 10,000 sq ft and stock the brand’s lingerie and Pink collections, as well as sleepwear and beauty products. It is due to open in autumn this year.

“We’re delighted that Victoria’s Secret has chosen to expand their UK presence at Intu Metrocentre, taking advantage of our 21 million annual footfall. It's the latest brand to be attracted by the combination of affluent style-conscious shoppers with an eye for premium brands,” commented Kate Grant, regional managing director for Intu.

Victoria’s Secret has come a long way since opening its first store in the UK in 2012. The brand has now over 14 locations throughout the United Kingdom and was ranked one of the largest international brands in the country. Four of its stores are located in Intu centres.

At Intu Metrocentre, the popular American brand will join prominent fashion chains such as Boss, AllSaints, Karen Millen, Kurt Geiger, Laura Ashley and Guess.
