Valentino links with Selfridges to promote AW22 Pink PP collection
It kicked off late last week with the brand and the retailer hosting an “immersive party” at The Cinema at Selfridges London on Duke Street. One of the luxury cinema rooms was transformed and illuminated in the Pink PP colour for guests to view a runway show and to celebrate the collection.
Additionally, the outside of the Selfridges façade has been lit to glow in the powerful Pink PP shade, with the collection displayed on custom Pink PP flooring and furniture on the ground floor within the accessories room.
Valentino also teamed up with author Douglas Coupland to create a capsule collection of sweatshirts and T-shirts in the exclusive Pink PP colour and black version tone on tone printed with four different messages: “We all have secret messages hidden within us”, “Beauty has kind of become an act of rebellion”, “My brain feels like fridge magnet poetry”, and “I miss my pre-internet brain”.
These quotes have taken over two windows on Oxford Street, celebrating the launch of the Valentino Pink PP collection and “showcasing the strong bond of the Maison with the literary world”.
The brand’s pink celebration runs at the store until 27 October and is part of an international campaign that has also seen a full monochrome pink takeover at the Rue St Honoré Valentino boutique in Paris and a massive billboard campaign in Tokyo.
