Urban Outfitters is revamping its management team in order to develop its various brands. The American group has just named David McCreight to the post of CEO at Anthropologie. In his new role, McCreight will head the development of the Anthropologie and BHLDN brands in North America and in Europe. The 48-year-old has most notably served as the president of Land’s End from 2005 to 2008 and then as Under Armour’s president from 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, David McCreight also worked for Disney and Saks.

With the creation of the new CEO role, Urban Outfitters also announced that some vice-president positions in North America have been eliminated. This way, Wendy Wurtzburger, a 13-year veteran of Anthropologie, will become the Chief Merchandising and Design Officer. And Kristin Norris, who has been working at the company for 19 years, has been appointed Chief Creative Officer. As for Wendy Wurtzburger, who began her career with the Company in 1991 as the co-president at Anthropologie, she has been appointed as President of Terrain.

Charles Kessler will also be joining the group as the new chief merchandising officer of the Urban Outfitters Brand. Prior to this, Kessler was working for Coach and previously for Abercrombie & Fitch for 16 years.
