As London's department stores continue to draw plenty of international shoppers, many retailers go to new lengths to tempt foreign customers. Selfridges, the fashion-driven department store on Oxford Street, has just opened its new Customers Service space after a sixteen-month period of planning and restoration.

The space has been relocated from the lower-ground floor to the fourth floor and is now three times its previous size, spanning over 16,000 ft². It was designed by Waldo Works and houses the new Tax Refund Lounge, two Tax Free Halls and several VIP areas.

There is also a Faith Room for customers of any faith and a Theatre Desk, operated by Time Out, from which customers can book anything from a show to a whole day or evening out, Selfridges says.

The retailer has seen its international business grow consistently over previous years and states the new space is meant to "accommodate future growth whilst delivering an extraordinary customer experience."
