UK's Asos introduces new delivery service Precise

Published

Asos, the British fashion etailer, is introducing a new service called "Precise", together with UK parcel delivery company DPD.

Precise lets Asos' customers decide exactly when they want their parcels delivered, and choose their own, exact one-hour delivery slot on the day of their choosing, DPD said. At the moment, Asos users are notified by text or email of their next day, one-hour delivery slot by DPD, but Precise will let them accept the original delivery slot via the notification, or select their preferred delivery day and their specific one hour delivery slot via the company's 'in-flight' options.

Matt Rogers, for ASOS, commented: "Precise is another first for ASOS and a huge leap forward on our customer focused delivery proposition. Our customers love getting their deliveries quickly and tell us they want control and choice over how and when their parcels arrive. Precise gives them exactly that. Working with DPD allows us to keep improving the delivery experience for our customers and staying competitive in the marketplace."

Ecommerce in the UK is a crowded market, and the onus is on etailers to constantly up the game when it comes to providing the most convenient delivery options for customers.
