Two London debuts confirmed for Coal Drops Yard scheme
With less than two months to go until the new Coal Drops Yard development in King’s Cross opens, King’s Cross Central Limited Partnership has announced the signing of two more fashion names.
British concept store Outsiders Store will be trying to replicate the success it has achieved in its original home in Liverpool by opening its first location in London at Coal Drops Yard. Carrying a selection of functional clothing and equipment for the modern outsider, the brand is a premium retail concept which made its first retail debut in October.
The second signing is Twiin, a new premium concept grounded in an eclectic mix of contemporary, vintage classics and easy-to-wear pieces. It will be London’s first LA-style concept store, stocking brands such as Wildfox, Cotton Citizen, Thomas James LA, Boyish Jeans, Une Heures and Bandolier. The sunny, boho-chic LA vibe will be imitated through the juxtaposition of materials like dark woods, rippled tinted glass, velvets and brushed aluminium, and a ‘sun’ will bathe the store in permanent glow.
Both Outsiders and Twiin will launch their stores when the new Coal Drops Yard shopping destination opens its doors to the public on 26 October. The list of brands confirmed also includes Paul Smith, Cubitts, Wolf & Badger, Manifesto, Cheaney, Lost Property of London, Maya Magal, Aesop, Fred Perry, Rains and Superga.
