Twinset adds Girl to UK offer, plans new e-tail site

Twinset Milano is launching its Girl label in the UK, several months after it opened its first stores for its main womenswear label.

The Girl offer allows mothers to create ‘mini-me’ looks with their daughters as the styling is based on the main women’s range. The new collection will be available in the King’s Road, Chelsea, store for AW18 with sizes ranging from age two up to age 10. Prices start at £30 for a hair accessory to £144 for leather biker boots.
The company said Girl’s “special Mini-Me collection reflects the carefree, boho-chic vibe of Twinset Milano womenswear – currently being fronted in Ciao London! AW18 advertising by ‘twin’ supermodels Georgia May Jagger and Suki Waterhouse.”
The expansion in Britain comes at the same time as the company is gearing up for a relaunch of its webstore with “state-of-the-art personalisation and customisation capabilities.”
The company hasn’t given any update on how its UK launch earlier this summer went, but the Girl addition suggests it has high hopes for the UK market.
It chose to launch in the country after seeing strong demand via its existing webstore and at the time of its British debut, CEO Alessandro Varisco said a buoyant UK e-commerce market also made it keen to explore wholesale opportunities.
