Toms: Helen Thompson in charge of the EMEA region

US footwear and eyewear brand Toms has appointed Helen Thompson as Managing Director of its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

Toms will thus enjoy the expertise of a footwear professional, since Helen Thompson served as EMEA General Manager for Danish footwear manufacturer Ecco acted from September 2014 to January of this year. She previously worked at Clarks, where she was notably the Europea Region Director.

Toms was founded in 2006 by Blake Mycoskie. The brand features footwear as well as eyeglasses and coffee, based on the 'one for one' concept. Thus, for example, for every pair of shoes purchased, Toms pledges to donate a pair of shoes to children in need.
